The second episode of a new series where I search the Google Play Store for a replacement for a game I've nearly finished, many of the offerings being of ... Dubious quality and in the process review them.

Here's the criteria for what I'm after, if you know any games that fit this, let me know. I may add onto this list if I think of more.

*First Person option, as I dislike having to look past the player character's meaty head down a thin hallway to see if there are any snipers in the distance staring me down. Can be forgiven if the third person perspective is well designed or if it's a top down shooter

*Decently responsive and satisfying combat, with options for long ranged and melee weapons and a decent amount of blood and mutilation possible (against zombles and bad guys, don't put me on a watch list). Required

*More options for gameplay than combat, such as picking locks, driving vehicles, hacking computers/security systems and more as ways to complete objectives other than "pull the key out of that dead guy's ass". Can be forgiven if combat is good enough

*Responsive movement, I hate on rails shooters and must be able to dodge pretty much every attack in one way or another. Can be forgiven if the game doesn't need it.

*Decent level of difficulty, where it's hard enough to be tense but not enough to be annoying. Being super hard can be accepted if the controls are responsive and accurate enough and the game uses AI to up the difficulty instead of using meatheads with super high attack power and health like most "hard mode"s in games

*Post apocalyptic/zombie setting as that has my favourites of firearms, looting abandoned places and imagining how they functioned before said apocalypse. The more realistic/grounded the better. Can be forgiven if the setting is good enough, like low fantasy

*Decently realistic graphics with few low res textures. Can be forgiven if the art style is not physically painful to look at like chibi art or particularly lazy texture work is

*Fairly charming or otherwise has a decent feel to it. Even seriously sad games are fine if they don't feel too janky

*A tutorial that doesn't treat me like a subhuman/no naggers that constantly interrupt you to nag about equipment effectiveness or force you into tutorials that think you're stupid. A bad tutorial can be forgiven if you can turn it off instantly but a nagger is an instant turn off

*Actual reason to explore such as secrets, loot, secret loot and optional puzzles such as safes, lockboxes and hidden rooms that can be done for rewards

*Ways to tell where enemies are such as idle noises, important to avoid unfair ambushes, these noises go a long way in making enemies feel believeable and lacking there shows a lack of polish.

*Longevity, as that way I don't need to find yet another replacement in like 20 minutes. Can be forgiven if replay value is incredibly high

*Customisation, especially if it's a multiplayer thing, goes for weapons, character and equipment. Can be forgiven if the game is good enough.

*PVP being optional, I don't want to be fucked over by high level Pay2Win people raiding the low level's base or whatever. Required

*Little to no Pay2Win, I'm not spending £20 on monopoly money to make the game easier and if that's required I'm out

*An acceptable story that either is negigable, allows me to avoid the main character getting screwed over in some way without it being in a cutscene and generally be able to make my own choices for different endings. Can be forgiven if said screw over doesn't affect the main character physically, constantly bring up the screw over cutscene in dialogue and/or staple a nagger to the hip of the main character.
