This video is meant to give a demonstration of what is in store with the new Merciless difficulty found in Wario Land 3 Randomizers. This new difficulty puts Double Boosts, Screen Wraps, and Wrong Warps in logic, in addition to everything in the lower difficulties since each increase in difficulty builds upon the previous. Pretty much anything other than out of bounds tricks and TAS only tricks are placed in logic with this difficulty. By TAS only, I mean Turbo Scrolling, Left+Right inputs while swimming, and Up+Down inputs while swimming. Beyond those small restrictions, pretty much anything goes in Merciless difficulty. Water Scrolling, Ladder Scrolling, Wrong warps, even double enemy boosts are fair game. It can't quite be called Major Glitches because one of the tricks in Merciless Difficulty doesn't involve the use of any glitches, just incredibly difficult execution.

With that said, the tricks that this seed featured included the S6 Wrong Warp, Ladder Scrolling in multiple stages, and even Teruteru Wall Scaling in N3 to access the Green Chest Areas without needing a Glove. This was also near max difficulty in terms of settings used. Every setting that increases difficulty was enabled outside of Golf Shuffle. It must be emphasized, this difficulty is only for major veterans at speedrunning for this game. Some of the tricks in Merciless logic are so convoluted or difficult that you would never see them in an RTA run. This is especially since in most cases these tricks usually result in the run being slower despite being a technical sequence break (though there are definitely exceptions to this, such as the S6 Wrong Warp).
