So, I haven't drawn attention to them in a while, but vertical sections have been stumbling blocks in every level they've appeared in. Even if there's something below for your money to land on (and sometimes there just isn't), that won't help if coins land inside an enemy you can't get past in time, or onto a bed of spikes. Nor will it keep you from falling past a coin you haven't grabbed yet, or onto a spiky enemy you didn't know was there... Or it can travel far enough from Wario to just despawn entirely, meaning you have to dive after stray coins immediately and hope not to lose anything in the process. Vertical sections are low-key trouble every time.
Aaaaand welcome to high-key! Doodle Mountain is chock-full of places where all of these problems happen in abundance! Every single outdoors room here has some verticality to it, and they all caused endless issues to match. In particular, the room with the pencil spikes is a cruel joke thanks to the bottom level full of slopes into spike beds, so that coins ALWAYS roll into them. Half the enemies present need to be repositioned before I defeat them, and that one block in the center just... has a coin placed inside it, despite the completely senseless maneuver it takes to actually collect the darn thing. All with the artist scattering enemies left and right to prevent a thoughtful, cautious approach. It's a lot. That guy caused plenty of failures in other rooms to begin with, frankly.

So yeah this was the hardest level!
