Was the 10700K worth the upgrade from my 9700K?
9I was not moved enough to switch from the 9700K to the 10700K when the 10th gen intel chips first launched, one I got the Ryzen 7 3800X though there was a level of perceived smoothness that I felt when running through the various applications I use on the daily like Vegas Edit 15 and some stutters were starting to introduce themselves at 1440P on Warzone, but nothing too crazy. I always had an eye out for the i9 9900K but was not going to pay that much for a new CPU just to add hyperthreading from the 9700K. When the consoles were announced, and they were going to be 8/16 chips it made me want to make a move for the long term and just buy this cheaper 9900K and gain that hyperthreaded performance in certain titles. We will see if it pays off eventually.
