But then, right after they get the data, some other hacker named JB Marcowicz, also known as Defalt, steals it. In the midst of the hacking breach, Defalt sends an audio file that reveals Clara was hired by some unknown guys to track Aiden and Damien after the Merlaut Job. Aiden asks her who did it, but since she has no clue, he tells her to stay away from him. So, Aiden ends up going to Damien's meeting empty-handed. Aiden tries to corner Damien by pointing out that without the blackmail, Blume would probably send fixers after him. Eventually, Damien agrees to another phone call with Aiden. However, thinking that his protégé isn't taking him seriously, Damien sets up a fixer in a WKZ truck to broadcast images of Aiden's vigilantism on all the big TV screens, effectively blowing his cover. Aiden manages to escape the police and sends T-Bone a piece of audio from the call with Nicky, which might help locate her. T-Bone then informs him that he has found where Defalt lives. However, they end up empty-handed and have to escape waves of Fixers sent by Defalt. So, T-Bone figures out that Defalt actually works as a DJ at this cool night club called Dot ConneXion in the Ambrose Theater. Aiden manages to outsmart Defalt's hacks and tracks him down. But just when Aiden's about to catch him, Defalt pulls a sneaky move and causes a blackout in the club, giving him the perfect opportunity to escape. Aiden doesn't give up though, and he chases after Defalt, even running into some other Fixers on the rooftop. But in the end, Aiden gets his revenge and manages to download all the important data that was stored on Defalt. T-Bone tells him that he's got everything and that he's been working on the audio piece to find a name: Brent Ulster. Aiden heads over to his job at a wastewater treating plant in Brandon Docks. He saves Nicky and takes her (and Jackson) out of town. As they're leaving, Aiden has to avoid the cops who are after him because Mendez called 911. While they're being chased, Nicole figures out that her brother was the Vigilante. Aiden and Nicky say their final goodbye before she departs from Chicago. T-Bone then drops an audio bombshell, spilling the beans that the person behind the hit was none other than Lucky Quinn, the bigwig in charge of the Chicago South Club.
