In today's video we'll learn how to paint this scene with boats against the light!
Here are a couple of pointers:
1. Arrangement and composition is key, and is often more important than the details themselves.
2. I tried keeping my values on the light side, to avoid killing off the sense of light.
3. There's quite a lot to improve when it comes to painting the ripples, as well as the dry brush technique.
4. I tried merging shapes within the boats as much as possible, for a more "wholesome" look and feel (:
