We Cheated in a Lethal Company Speedrun and got away with it. Here's how it went (See Description)
86This was mine and Nico's official run for Week 4 of the 10 Quota League, where the theme was to complete 10 quotas while using the We Need to Go Deeper Mod.
The intended gameplay was for runners to enter through the main entrance and exit through the fire exit, risking deaths to mimic fire exits. However, glitches were allowed this week and some times learned that you could teleport from the interior to the ship while carrying loot with a new glitch, thereby bypassing the theme of the run entirely.
Under the official rules, the only glitch that was banned was quota corruption, which lowers your starting quota from 130 to 0, since it was the strongest known glitch prior to the broadcast. However, when Nico and I caught wind that most of the teams were using the much stronger ship teleport glitch, we decided to risk getting disqualified by using the only banned glitch for the week and then play out the modpack as intended.
The referees decided to allow it, since the reason for banning quota corruption was how strong it was and the ship teleport glitch was much stronger anyway. They were also lenient since we were one of the few teams to play and showcase the modpack as intended, and our run offered an additional perspective showing just how strong the glitches were. If we had used both quota corruption AND ship teleport then we would have had the fastest time, but we also would have been immediately disqualified.
The result was that any glitch that would defeat the purpose of the featured modpack were banned for future weeks. Shoutouts to Royru for his work for curating this modpack :)
