In this episode of Skul the Hero Slayer, I'm revisiting a skull I had a bad time with the last time: God of War! This is a skull a lot of people have a negative overall opinion of, including myself. There's many reasons why people feel this way, but for me chief among them is the Heroic Unrivaled Strikes he gets at his legendary form. These SHOULD be a good thing, and they are damage wise, but the issue with them is when he casts one he stands in place for about a second or so, unable to move, no i-frames, and then unleashes it. This makes his flow of gameplay very awkward and slow, and he has no way around it. Also, if you're trying to cast his swap flag that gives your Unrivaled Strikes amplification, if he casts a Heroic Unrivaled Strike in place of the swap skill then it DOESN'T place a flag. Once he's at legendary he HAS to cast the Heroic Unrivaled Strikes, and there's no current way to speed them up. So...what if you didn't make him legendary at all, and stopped at unique? There's a damage trade off, and his swap Unrivaled Strike isn't as powerful...but could it really be as simple as getting rid of the clunky Heroic Unrivaled Strikes to help this character out immensely? That's what we're testing today, for the most part. Ascetic is also here, but we all already know he's great. How will these two fair in this nightmarish new DM10?
