We Happy Few is an action-adventure game developed by Compulsion Games and published by Gearbox Publishing for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It was released as an early access title in 2016 for Windows, with all versions of the full game seeing wide release on August 10th 2018.
We Happy Few presents Lightbearer. Released on July 30, 2019, it is the second DLC released out of three, This DLC is different from the main game primarily because the levels are handcrafted and are the same in every playthrough (unlike the main game's open world). The Story centres around Nick Lightbearer famed Wellington Wells Rockstar who awakes with bloodstained clothing and a "foggy" memory. With reports, a serial killer is on the loose nick attempts to hide from his fans while also trying to find the missing fragments of his memory by taking even more drugs (Not very smart).
Lightbearer doesn't play like a traditional first-person melee combat game. Nick is a Rockstar and that translates to his combat with the use of his guitar, Nick can vibe the environment to find clues, "Facemelt" fans to render them unconscious and even Serenade fans to make them fight for him. Nick can also use Golden Records to pass puzzles or throw at people.
