We Happy Few is an action-adventure game developed by Compulsion Games and published by Gearbox Publishing for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It was released as an early access title in 2016 for Windows, with all versions of the full game seeing wide release on August 10th 2018.
We Happy Few presents Roger and James in They Came From Below. Released April 4, 2019, it is the first DLC released out of three, The story features Roger Bacon (the main character) and his boyfriend James Maxwell as well as Doctor Faraday. This DLC is different from the main game primarily because the levels are handcrafted and are the same in every playthrough (unlike the main game's open world).
Survival elements from the main game such as hunger and thirst have been disabled in this DLC as well as status effects such as bleeding, The only weapon available to Roger is a Raygun that can be upgraded and can also function as a baton giving the player more option to deal with enemies. New enemies come in the form of robots each with their own attacks depending on the type. Stealth also plays a part in the DLC however it is limited to sneaking around enemies. (because apparently knocking out robots from behind is totally unrealistic!.)
