5Gloomy Gulch: Level 5
Bonus #1 (2:37): Late in the level, passed the Star Barrel and to the right of the letter 'N', is a steep stepped cliff with bananas going down. At the bottom of this cliff is a hidden entrance to the Bonus Stage. From the cliff, go to the right, passed the Mini-Neckies, and you'll see an arrow of bananas pointing to the left. Keep going to the right until you find the Kannon. Wait for the Kannon to shoot a slow moving cannonball and follow it all the way to the left until it hits the cliff and breaks open the entrance to the Bonus Stage.
Bonus #2 (4:05): Right after the field of Zingers you'll jump on some land leading down to a banana arrow pointing to the wall to the left. Head to the right while killing all of the Kaboings in your way. You'll eventually find another Kannon shooting cannonballs. Follow one of the cannonballs until it crashes into the wall to the left.
DK Coin (4:53): I consider this to be the worst DK Coin in the game. It's one of the prizes that can be won from the end of the level's target, but it appears for only a brief moment during the circulation. If you make a mistake and get a different prize then you are forced to play through the entire level again. Take as much time as you need and get a good feeling for the rhythm as the prizes circulate through. You'll have to fire at the exact moment the banana turns into the DK Coin.
