WedNESday: Kirby's Adventure [SHORT]
4Based on the social media hashtag #WedNESday, I would sometimes do very short videos showcasing an NES game and host them on a mobile social media app. I decided to expand the reach of these videos a little and also post them to YouTube.
Today is Kirby's Adventure by Nintendo. Kirby's Dream Land for Game Boy was a key game in my portable collection as a kid, but I never had a chance to play Kirby's Adventure on NES until about 2002. I was spurred to pick this game because the Japanese Famicom release of Kirby's Adventure turns 30 years old this week. While I loved Kirby's Dream Land, Kirby's Adventure really started shaping how we know the Kirby games today. It's a really fun platforming game with a lot of charm and small graphical details, fantastic music and a lot of variety in powerups and mini games.
