WedSNESday: Let's Play RoboCop vs. The Terminator
This week on WedSNESday, it's the battle of the century - the fight to end all fights - the robo-brawl to beat them all: The greatest metal icons of the '80s go head to head to once and for all put to rest the question that has plagued mankind since we crawled out of the primoridal ooze: Who would win in a fight? RoboCop or The Terminator? Dead or alive, you're coming with us!
RoboCop Versus The Terminator is an action platformer developed by Interplay (on the SNES) and published by Virgin Games in 1994, loosely based on a comic miniseries that was released 2 years previous that put Alex "RoboCop" Murphy up against the original Arnoid himself. Two separate versions of the game were released, developed by separate studios, on the Genesis/Megadrive and SNES (Similar to Disney's Aladdin), with wildly different storylines. The game came out to lukewarm reception due to lack of intensity, though the Genesis version was awarded "Bloodiest game of 1993" by EGM.
