WedSNESday: Let's Play Star Trek Deep Space Nine: Crossroads of Time
A full year after Future's Past, the NPCs return to the Star Trek SNES universe with the Deep Space Nine themed "Crossroads of Time". Playing as the Emissary himself, Benjamin Sisko, we jog, jump and perform mighty physical feats never once seen on the TV show, wholly unsure of what we're doing or why. The game gets off to a rocky start, but after figuring out that Dax (Not Bashir) has what we need, it's time to move on and take care of some Bajoran Terrorists, Sisko Style. If we can punch Q, we can punch you too!
Star Trek Deep Space Nine: Crossroads of Time is an action-adventure platformer released in 1995 on the Super Nintendo and Genesis, published by Playmates Interactive Entertainment and developed by Novotrade International. It puts you in the role of Commander Benjamin Sisko in the first level, which the NPCs are playing, but allows access to Bashir, Kira and Odo over the course of the game. It mixes character interactive "adventure" segments and action platforming. It gained only a lukewarm reception, as the game's puzzles were deemed time-consuming and the combat bland and unchallenging, mostly only paying fan service to the show's biggest fans.
