Weekend at Bernie's 1989 Review / Discussion / Commentary | A Nice Weekend with Bernie Lomax

"Weekend at Bernie's" is a 1989 comedy film directed by Ted Kotcheff. The story follows two young corporate employees, Larry Wilson (played by Andrew McCarthy) and Richard Parker (played by Jonathan Silverman), who discover financial fraud at their company. When they bring the evidence to their boss, Bernie Lomax (played by Terry Kiser), they unexpectedly find him dead. In order to avoid being implicated in the fraud and to enjoy a weekend getaway at Bernie's beach house, they decide to pretend that Bernie is still alive. The film unfolds with various comedic situations as Larry and Richard attempt to maintain the illusion of Bernie being alive, leading to humorous misunderstandings and mishaps.
