Weekly Runs!!! - Week 19 - Rogue's Tale - Ep. 1 - Hardest Game Ever!
3Week 19 of the Weekly Runs!!! series is upon us. I chose quite the challenge this week. Rogue's Tale is aptly named as it definitely incorporates all the things right, wrong, good, bad, & indifferent in the roguelike genre. Simplistic to a degree, but extremely challenging. RNG plays a massive part of the game and it's likely you will only make it out of the first level 35% of the time and only clear a whole dungeon 10% of the time. My numbers might be an exaggeration, but this game is legit. This is by far the most difficult roguelike I've played! Still, it's a lot of fun. Paced well, easy to learn, and astronomically difficult. Are you up for the challenge?
My thanks to Epixxx.org for this wonderful addition to the roguelike scene. If you liked old school roguelikes but want a bit more graphics and a bit less crazy button combinations to memorize, this is your game. The difficulty and the feel of the game are for the hardcore!
