Disclaimer: I only realized as this was being uploaded today that I actually used a very niche definition of Gaslamp Fantasy in this video. I think probably because I fell into a rabbit hole about it recently, and it's been a while since I looked up the info about the broader genre. Sorry to anyone who was utterly confused by my very specific definition. XD
A more common (still simplified) explanation of Gaslamp Fantasy is that it is similar to Steampunk, but the focus is on the magic, or magical/supernatural creatures, rather than on gadgets and tech.
