In geology, corrundum is a solid form of aluminum oxide containing small amounts of iron, among other minerals.

NOTE: Recent updates to this mod have changed some of the progression mentioned in this video. The planet itself now requires Vulcanus science to access, and chalcopyrite processing (and thus automated iron and copper) no longer needs research with electrochemical science to access.
