What Does the PES Demo on Xbox Game Pass Tell Us About the Future of the Service? I honestly don't know but it is a development that concerns me a little. We can already see that a great many games that are released are little more than shells, with gamers having to buy extras and add-ons in order to get the full experience. But what if you have to pay a monthly fee just for access to these games, even though, the price of access is just that. Are we heading to a future where services dominate and what we see on the page is little more than a store front?

Of course, I could be reading way too much into this but I do think this is something we have to discuss before the gaming industry foists yet another "innovation" on us that we just don't want.
