Naruto is one of those series that has always served as a euphemism for what hate does to the world and what we let it do when we leave it to its own devices. Naruto has always been about a young hero who, though he doubts, never stops believing in himself or others. This helps him to cut past the barriers that were set up to keep people out. Some people ask me what Naruto’s sharpest weapon is, and I tell them it’s his words, because they never fail to cut straight to the villain’s heart, and they do so without even tearing a hole. Alright, that was cheesy. But you know what I mean. Regardless, the Curse of Hatred has spurred on a lot of what the Naruto World has become. Particularly, the Curse of Hatred began with the Senju and Uchiha, but it spread from clan to clan. Now, that’s not to say that every person in the Naruto World is effected by the literal curse. Now, if we count the concept of hate itself as the curse of hatred, then I guess it can. But for now, I’m limiting it to only Indra and Asura’s direct descendants. After all, they’re the ones affected by it the most. Now, to most of you, you might think that this is going to completely eliminate the story of Naruto, but I wouldn’t think so, because after all, Indra’s fall to darkness wasn’t brought on by himself now was it?
