When you design a product you aren't just designing the features of the product itself. You're also designing HOW the user thinks about your product, also known as the mental model.

What is a mental model and why does it matter? In this video, I explain how mental models are a convenient way to set user expectations, how my client Replika explored different competing mental models for their AI chatbot, and how game designer Will Wright used mental models to guide the development of the hit game The Sims.
