A customer or potential customer can learn more about the company's products and services by referring to the sales quotation, which provides an accurate estimate of the cost of the goods and services. It serves as a business contract between the buyer and the vendor.
Before entering into any sales agreements, Odoo will assist clients in understanding the precise cost of the goods and services the business offers by generating and distributing sales quotations. The Orders menu in the Sales module will provide you with access to the Quotation window. All quotations generated in the Sales module will be displayed on this quotation platform. This platform will display advanced sorting and searching options, like Filters and Group By, just like any other Odoo platform. To make it easier to find a specific sales quotation, Odoo offers both default and customisable filtering and grouping options.
The platform's view can be altered to include Kanban, List, Pivot, Graphical, and Calendar views. Details about the quotation, including its number, creation date, customer, salesperson, next activity, company, total, and status, are displayed in the quotation list preview.
By selecting the three dots in the upper right corner of the window, as seen in the screenshot below, you can enable a number of additional options to enlarge the quotation list preview.
You can click the "Create" button to generate a quote for sale. Once you click the "Create" button, a new field containing information about the quotation will open.
In this field, you can add product and customer details. In the designated field, enter the name of the client to whom you are forwarding this quote.
Furthermore, there are designated areas where the customer's delivery address and invoice can be configured. You can also add a Quotation Template to this form using Odoo. Using the Quotation Template option found in the Configuration menu of the module, you can create quotation templates one at a time. In the designated fields, enter the Pricelist, Payment Term, and Expiration date.
There are three tabs in the quotation description that allow you to add product details and other relevant information. You can add products to sell to the chosen customer under the Order Lines tab.
In the designated fields, you can designate a Salesperson and Sales Team who will be in charge of that specific sales quotation. To enable automated order confirmation, mention the name of the company and activate the online signature and payment options. Ask the customer to sign and pay online. In the designated fields, you can include Customer Reference and Tags.
Under the Invoicing field, mention the specific quotation's fiscal position.
The product's delivery information, including the Incoterm for international transactions, the shipping policy, and the delivery date, can be specified in the corresponding form fields. You can specify the Campaign, Delivery Medium, Source of the link, and Source Document that the sales quotation is generated from under the Tracking field.
