Rajasthan is marching ahead towards being a modern health state after being labelled as a "beemaru rajya" (ailing state) for years, said Shubhra Singh, Additional Chief Secretary, Medical Health & Family Welfare Department.
Dr. Jitender Soni, MD, National Health Mission, spoke about how the state government ensured last mile delivery in Healthcare. "We have two type of challenges. One is some districts are bigger than other and there are some districts which are dominated by tribals. For this, all health centres are being turned into health wellness centre where community health officers have been deployed who cater to the population of a village.
