I saw a few videos of Spellbreak and was very intrigued. Ironically, shortly after, one of my good friends reached out and said he had just started playing and I needed to give it a go. I downloaded it, encouraged my other friend David to do the same, and here we are! Parker was teaching us the basics and we just hopped in and had a good time. Honestly, this game is a total blast. It is unique, it looks great, and the combat is simple yet has a learning curve. We had a great time and there is more coming!

So what is it? At it's core, a battle royale. However, no guns, no building, no vehicles. Instead, wizards battling it out to the death. There are various elements, one that you choose to be your primary each round, and you can carry one other. Each element, which is a gauntlet you carry, has two attacks. You can also carry one rune that acts as a mobility spell. Different attacks can effects others differently. Someone shoots fire at you? You can put out the flames with wind! Acid cloud in the way? Blow it up with fire! Tons of fun combinations and it makes squad play really chaotic and just awesome to watch! Oh, and did I mention it is totally free and crossplatform?!
