What Multi-player Madness Do Insomniac Games have in store for us?
8During the seventh generation of consoles there was a real multi-player madness. You had games that were primarily single player affairs like the Uncharted series and The Last of Us adding multi-player components onto the base game. You also had multi-player stalwarts in First Person Shooters becoming more prevalent as hardware with online functionality democratized what was previously only possible in the realm of PC gaming. Insomniac Games took stabs at multi-player as far back as 2004's Ratchet & Clank Up Your Arsenal. Multi-player affairs were far clunkier during the PS2 era as the online functionality was a whole lot harder to pull off. Insomniac was able to make robust multi-player experiences with the Resistance series of games for the PS3. I've covered previously why I think we need to see a return to the Resistance series. Rumours have been flying for the last two years on what this potential Insomniac Games Multi-player title might be.
