In recent times Tactical RPGs have seen a small resurgence in popularity. The most popular example is Fire Emblem though other popular franchise's like Atlus' Persona series are getting the tactical treatment. To my knowledge Nihon Falcom have never done a tactical RPG. Do correct me if I'm wrong though. However, given we know only a very small amount about The War of The Lions thanks to the events shown during Trails of Cold Steel II and IV that particular era of Zemurian history is ripe for expansion. A tactical game is just one way in which Falcom could tackle expanding the lore though. Another option not covered in this video would be novelization. Which recently occurred with Ys VIII: The Lacrimosa of Dana.
