So yeah, Nintendo really raised the bar with Tears of the Kingdom. A lot of people have been kinda iffy with Nintendo lately due to buggy games like the newest Pokemons and the uptick on prices and the bummer of a brand new Zelda game in the form of Breath of the Wild. I wasn’t angry because I figured that playing an open world 3D Pokemon game on a super small console like the switch would cause it to lag, obviously, and the only other Zelda game I ever played was Skyward sword with the Wii motion controls so I quite enjoyed BotW, but then TotK dropped and my jaw was dropped. With just as stunning graphics as the first game, even more so, a jam packed world with hundreds of unique interactions and side quests, plus the main quest I haven’t even begun to scratch the surface of even after 60 hours, its on par with playstation games like assassins creed. Because I and the whole world can see just how capable Nintendo is now, we WON’T stand for subpar triple A games anymore. The next Pokemon games better be baller or else we’ll probably lose respect for them completely.
