Animorphs or ANIDORKS!?
15Let’s make Animorphs animated! If you were born between 1988 and 2000 you’ve definitely read one of these books. And if you liked animorphs, you maybe watched the live action tv series that ran for two seasons before it was cancelled abruptly. After watching the first episode on YouTube, I can see why it was cancelled. The writing was overdramatic, the special and practical effects were meh, and the pacing was just bad. The real travesty though, came with the morphing, the big point of the show. It was slow and just executed poorly and I can’t tell if it was because it was 1998 or because of the budget. Clearly it was not suited for live action, which is why it should’ve been animated. Shifting has been done beautifully through animation for years all the way from Cinderella to teen titans to Ben 10. But the one show that was basically an animorph parallel was Dinosquad. It was a great show for kids that had good messages along with humans turning into dinosaurs to fight evil. It was basically crack for kids. It fixes every problem that the live action animorphs had, especially the morphing, and made it ten times better. Just imagine the actual book getting animated. Sounds awesome right? Well...
