What THE CAVE UPDATE May Look Like
6The Nether Update has been out for over a month now, so it’s that time again where the community waits for Mojang to hint or show what is going to be in the next update. For 1.17, the vocal majority believes the next update will be a Cave Update. I’m not saying they are wrong, but based on current circumstances, I think we’re going to get a smaller update, like 1.15, or no update at all for the rest of the year. A smaller update idea would be an inventory update, but that’s another video. Today, I am still going to be talking about a Cave Update, though, because I know we will be getting one someday.
Something we know that we will be coming to the next update is a Mountain update with Snowier snow. The biome vote should not affect what the whole update is about, because before we got Phantoms on an update about water, and Foxes and Campfires with the Village and Pillage Update.
World generation in the overworld hasn’t had a large update since 2013 with the release of 1.7, and this was a big update. The Cave Update should also be huge, bigger than The Nether Update, bigger than Update Aquatic. Caves systems are where players spend a lot of their time and it is where most progress is made.
