When people think about stealth games, some of the more immediately recallable names include the Metal Gear Solid series and the Splinter Cell games. But one such franchise that may escape the minds of many is that of the Thief franchise. And this would be rather astonishing, considering how pivotal Thief is as a franchise to the genre of stealth as a whole.

At the same time, this would be rather understandable - since its first title in 1998, the franchise has only seen four releases, with the latest one being a reboot that released in 2014, and that title being one that on the whole didn't land particularly well with critics and fans. In addition to that, In this video, we'll be taking a brief look at each of the four Thief games, and discussing the future of the franchise.
