What to do After Level 60 WoW
So now that you can finally play the game, here are 7 things you can work on now that you’re 60.
1. Collect Rare Items & Mounts – stratholm deathcharger, or the winterspring tiger if you’re alliance. There are also a bunch of OP PvP items that are rare like the Tidal Charm, Nifty Stopwatch, Luffa, Skull of Impending Doom, Furbolg Medicine Pouch, Linken’s Boomerang, Barov Peasant Caller, and more you can seek out. Speaking of gear to seek out, number 2 -- definitely seek out your pre-raid Bis!
2. Gather Pre-Raid BiS – Link in the description. These are the items and enchants to go after to maximize your character. It’s important to know which items to go after because sometimes you might think an item is really good for your character, and it turns out it’s not the best item for you, and in fact you should seek out a different item. So it’s very helpful to know which items you’re looking for. And one very important item for maxing out your character is number 3: your mount, specifically your EPIC MOUNT.
3. Get your Epic Mount –
Helps A LOT if you’re on a PvP server to help get away or hunt down your enemies. And at a cost of 900 gold abouts, which we both know is quite a hefty amount of gold. Funny enough, it will also help you farm gold through gathering, speaking of which, one of the most popular ways to get gold, is through #4 maxing out PROFESSIONS!
4. Max out professions – primary and secondary. Your epic mount can help you with mining and herbalism, since these nodes are spread out, you can get from node to node faster with an epic mount. But also, other professions like fishing, leatherworking, enchanting, tailoring, alchemy and so on can all help MAKE gold, before you have your epic mount. So max out those professions to get yourself another way to make some gold. And it’s likely to save on gold you didn’t learn every single skill while leveling, just the essentials, so now that you’re max, it’s time to go back and do #5 – learn all your skills and if you’re melee, level up any weapon skills you haven’t yet.
5. Learn all your skills, level up weapon skills you didn’t. If you didn’t pick up Eagle Eye while you were leveling as a hunter now’s your chance now that you’re 60 and have a little more gold lying around, or if you’re a Warrior, grabbing Mocking Blow just cuz. Also, depending on what phase it is, there are books with higher ranks of spells to go gather like Evicerate Rank 9. So make sure to do that when it’s available. Speaking of spells and abilities, it might be time to get some different ones.
6. Respec – usually you were using a leveling build and it’s time to respec to your endgame build, whether it’s PvP or PvE. For example, it’s best to level a hunter as beast mastery, but once you’re 60 you’re going to want to respect either Marksmanship for PvE or Survival/Marksman for PvP. The same can be said for AOE mages looking to switch to a non-aoe farming spec, or a combat Rogue who went combat for leveling who’s ready to go Subtlety for PvP. Check out some builds online for your class and make the switch for whichever path you want to go down. And if you’re going down that PvE path, then you’re going to want to get started on number 7:
7. Attunements & dungeon keys – Stratholm, Scholomance, Dire Maul, UBRS – get them keys!
There are a lot less attunements needed compared to TBC – There’s only MC, Onyxia, BWL, and Naxxramas to get attuned to, and the only one that’s hard out of those is really Onyxia.
For MC, you do a BRD run and click a rock, then for BWL you kill an orc and click a shiny rock, and for Naxx just get exalted with the Argent Crusade and turn in a quest. But for Onyxia – OH BOY DON’T EVEN GET ME STARTED. Get the Attune addon to help with that long chain if you are prone to getting lost or confused.
