There are two ways to start your own kingdom. First way is through the main story quest, follow it and you will get to a quest which lets you start your own kingdom. Second way is achieving clan tier 4, getting one settlement and declaring a new kingdom through the clan tab.
In both scenarios, you have to own a fief to start a kingdom. There are a couple ways to do this, first is siege a fief by yourself, since you cant raise an army, you will have to aim for a castle with less troops. Second way is through trade, max your trade skill, get the perk to buy and sell fiefs and buy a fief from a lord. Third is become a vassal, get a fief and then leave the kingdom and take your fiefs with you.
Apart from the trade option, both options will put you at war with the kingdom you either left or stole from. When you do this, i suggest doing it to a smaller kingdom and right after you do do it, please go make peace with said kingdom, either with influence through kingdom tab, or through speech bargain option. It will be a lot of denars if you use speech, could be as low as 35K or as high as 300K, depends on kingdom strength. If you use the influence method, then you will have a tribute you have to pay daily to the enemy kingdom for peace.
Now that peace is made and you have a kingdom, you need parties, get some companions and max out parties, these can be made in the clans tab under parties. These parties will go around the world, doing quests, fight battles, and join armies.
You can start a party with just the leader or some troops, its up to you, you can restart a party for free, so you can just roll the dice, start with just leader and hope he builds up an party.
Now next step is finding clan leaders who might want to switch to your side, either for free if they really like you, or for a fee, either way you need
clans to win battles and siege bigger fiefs.
You can find leader locations with the encyclopedia as i showed in past videos, press the "n" key and browse around. Once you find a leader, save the game before you go into the speech check, and if you fail, just reload the game and try again.
Once you have another clan join you, time to take some more fiefs. Find the
smallest kingdom or one that is in a lot of wars, raid a village to start
a war and then start an army with you and the other clans parties. Siege as much as you can, take all the land you can and then make peace again.
Make sure to give some fiefs to your other clans, they want land or they will
leave. Also while all this is going on, make sure to check your income, always replenish caravans, make new workshops or change their production, keep income up.
Now also around this time, make some policies, you can also do it before a
clan joins so no one opposes your vote. Read each policy and see what would benefit you as the ruler, once more clans join, you can make changes, but only do what benefits you right now.
Now its all rinse and repeat, save money, get more clans, start wars to gain
land, make peace and repeat until your are satisfied. Good luck and think
about your decisions, they really do matter!
