What will people look like in the 3000's? Technology can change our stance

Experts have created a model called 'Mindy' that gives an idea of what we might look like in the year 3000. The appearance of the model created for a private company is based on the assumption that long-term use of technology will change the human body.

Technology is taking more and more place in human life day by day. There are many people who argue that technology will negatively affect human life over time.

A private telecommunication company carried out a study in this area. Within the scope of the study, it was imagined what people would look like a thousand years from now. With the study, a model called Mindy was created.

This model, which is quite dystopian, centers on the idea that the use of technology will negatively affect the human body. Mindy has a hunched back, broad neck, clawed hands, and a second eyelid.

It is stated that the created grotesque (re-depicting beings with absurd features) model depicts people who are increasingly dependent on technology. "The way we hold our phones can cause tension at certain points of contact - causing 'text claw', known as cubital tunnel syndrome," said Dr Nikola Djordjevic from Med Alert Help.

Staring at our phones for hours causes not only humped backs but also thicker necks, according to the model. When using a smartphone, we constantly look down, which causes our neck muscles to work harder.

Other grotesque features in the study include a thicker skull and smaller brain, and a second eyelid to prevent overexposure to light. According to evolutionary theory, a second eyelid mutation is unlikely to be permanent unless it affects survival.

However, this exaggerated depiction is based on the idea that looking at the screen too much is tiring for the eyes.
