Yooka-Laylee is an upcoming classic 3D platformer game. Known as Banjo-Kazooie's spiritual successor, Yooka-Laylee is being developed by Playtonic Games and is planned on getting released in October 2016.

Back in May 2015, a gameplay trailer was revealed and fans have been hyped up ever since. Between May 2015 and February 2016, two new characters were revealed and a bunch of screenshots. However, nothing else has been revealed ever since. Of course, we got a sneak peek of David Wise’s soundtrack. David wise is known for musical projects such as the classic Donkey Kong games on the n64. We also have Grant Kirkhope working on soundtracks for Yooka-Laylee. Grant Kirkhope did soundtracks for Banjo-Kazooie n64!

Playtonic Games’ official Twitter is acting weird these days. The account seems to be tweeting stuff people can’t seem to understand. What is Playtonic Games up to? What do #synergy or hostile takeover mean? No one knows really. Apart from that, Playtonic Games changed their name on Twitter to Hivory Towers. Again, no can really understand what’s going on. Could the company simply be teasing fans?

The profile picture looks like a honeycomb. Honeycombs were part of the Banjo-Kazooie series, could it hint towards a Banjo-Kazooie sequel? Maybe Banjo-Threeie in the future? Sounds farfetched though.

Yooka-Laylee is not currently on the list of confirmed games which will appear at e3 2016. Since news regarding the game have been very dry, could we see Yooka-Laylee at this upcoming e3?
