2,216Here's Minecraft 1.10 - the Frostburn update - aka Fire and Ice. This video is a comprehensive look at the things introduced and changed since Minecraft 1.9.4.
Blocks
* Bone Blocks - Crafted from 9 bonemeal
* Magma Blocks - Crafted from 4 magma cream
- Light level copied from nearby light source
- Damage: 1 damage per second for mobs and players
- Sneaking, Frost Walker and Fire Resistance avoids damage
- Unique Death Messages
- Removes water & smolders when rained on
* Nether wart block - Crafted from 9 nether wart
* Red nether bricks - Crafted from 2 nether wart & 2 nether bricks
Mobs
* Polar bears
- Spawn in Ice Plains, Ice Mountains and Ice Spikes biomes
- Have Cubs
- Aggressive/Neutral depending on whether they have cubs
- Drops fish / salmon
* Strays
- Spawn in Ice Plains, Ice Mountains and Ice Spikes biomes
- 80% of Skeletons under the sky.
- Can be spider jockeys
- Shoots slowness arrows
- Can drop at most 1 slowness arrows
* Husks
- 80% of Zombies under the sky.
- Spawns in Desert and its variations.
- Does not burn in sunlight
- Can be baby or chicken jockeys
- Applies Hunger on hit, but only when not holding an item
- 2 pixels taller than a zombie visually but same hitbox
* Endermen now spawn in the Nether, just as rare as in overworld.
* Magma cubes spawn rate 2 times as common
* Skeletons will now fire the arrow type held in off hand
* Witches will now drink fire resistance potions when taking fire damage
* Wolves no longer despawn
World Generation
* Mesa biomes now have surface level mineshafts
- Dark oak wood
- Roughly at sea level
* Mesas generate gold ore between y=32 and 79
* Fossils
- Desert, Swampland (and variations)
- 1/64 chance per chunk
- Bone/coal ore
* Villages
- no longer restricted by biome borders
- Generate in Taigas (but not the variations)
- Savanna villages now have acacia wood
- Blacksmiths in all kinds of villages now have cobble around the lava pit
- Paths now use grass path blocks instead of grass and wood planks over water or lava, except in desert villages where smooth sandstone is used instead
- 2% chance of being a zombie village instead of a regular village, has no torches or doors
* Huge mushrooms - 1/12 chance twice as high
* Trees in plains, around 5% of chunks.
* Caves can now have sand ceilings, falling dust particles underneath
* Magma blocks in nether
Gameplay
* Auto-jump, defaults to on, settings in Controls menu
* Shields can now be shift-clicked into the off-hand slot
* Dispensers can now equip shields
* Fishing rods can now be used to pull items to player
* Ender pearls and chorus fruits can now teleport a rider away from their mount
* Firework rocket recipies now yield 3 instead of 1.
* End portals now delete solid blocks when activated
* Falling after relog while gliding
* Debug Screen F3+G for chunk borders
