- Chests can now be placed next to each others without merging
- Smooth double slabs, farmland and path blocks now available from creative inventory
- Item frames can now be placed on the top and bottom of blocks
- Debug stick, command-only item
Gameplay:
- Swimming animation triggered by sprinting under water
- Items now float instead of sinking
- Bubble columns above magma and soul sand blocks - Magma down, soul sand up
- Light now goes further underwater: Decay 1 per block instead of 3
- Waterlogged blocks
- Furnace recipe book
- Can now add markers to maps by right clicking with map while looking at banner
Advancements:
- Fishy business - catch a fish
- Tactical fishing - catch a fish in a bucket
- A throwaway joke - throw a trident
- Very very frigthening - strike a villager with lightning
Redstone & contraptions:
- Note blocks can now be pushed by pistons
- Mobs in minecarts no longer control the movement on that minecart
- XP from furnaces now stays in the furnace when items get taken out using hoppers
