When Gamers Get JAILED For Playing PUBG
A PUBG Mobile tournament in Bangladesh was raided by police resulting in more than 100 players being detained and arrested.
Mid-tournament, the venue was unexpectedly surrounded by police. All attendees over the age of 18 were detained and subsequently sentenced to two nights in prison while the event organizers faced criminal charges.
So what was it about PUBG Mobile that led to these arrests and the game becoming illegal to play in the country?
PUBG Mobile is a free-to-play mobile game adaptation of PUBG: Battlegrounds co-developed by LightSpeed & Quantum Studio and PUBG Studios. Much like its original, the game features up to one hundred players parachuting from a plane onto one of the several maps and proceeding to fight in a battle royale until the last man standing.
