The first Assassin's Creed is a legendary games in many ways, but not necessarily in the ways we want it to be. It's the game that launched a thousand sequels, the game that truly popularized the open world genre. It brough fantastic graphics, beautiful cities and impactful combat, but then there's the matter of actual gameplay, of missions, characters, and the world itself. Assassin's Creed offered a completely different experience back in 2007, but how does the game hold up in 2022? That's what I'm here to find out, and I hope you'll join me on this journey down memory lane. Here, we analyze, discuss, theorize and reflect, and of course, review the very first Assassin's Creed - and what a journey it's been. So, should you buy Assassin's Creed, and even play Assassin's Creed in 2022? Let's find out together!
The first Assassin's Creed gave us elaborate cities like Damascus, Jerusalem and Acre, cities with very distinctive looks. I'd love to hear what you guys think about the game's use of filters and shaders, and how it impacted the game. In this video, I talk about how the game feels like a nightmare. If you agree or disagree with me on this, or have your own thoughts, I'd love to hear them, so please share your comments and your own reflections on the game down below :) Also, did we just make the longest Assassin's Creed 1 Review in essay format on YouTube? :O
