The question was asked of me which MMORPGSs have successfully down player owned villages and towns. The answer is none. That's why people were excited for New World, Ashes of Creation, Chronicles of Elyria, and now Pax Dei.

There was a little bit of this in Eve Online, but since Eve Online is a ship based game not a fantasy based game most people don't count it.
