Who are we hiding from in Haven demo Steam Game Festival.
Welcome to part 2 of DragoNate's Christmas demo game series! Steam was obviously part of the game awards for 2019 & as such, they had their own Steam Game Festival going. This game festival features over 10 game demos that you could play for a limited time before their release in 2020 or later. The second game in this series is Haven. I really enjoy how relaxed Haven is & the cool concepts the game introduces. You play as both characters, making dialogue choices for each, while watching them interact. The game design is very simple yet it looks so good & the world the game exists in makes me want to know more about it. You & Kay escaped from the Apiary to hide on this unknown planet which has nothing but Appledews to eat. I don't know what the Apiary is, but now I want to. The second day that we as the player get to see has the pair go outside & explore & then the ground starts shaking. Next thing we know, the ship has fallen off the top of the cliff they landed it on & basically gets destroyed. How will they survive now? Well, we may find out some time next year or so!
I really enjoyed playing (once I got my controller working) but my one main criticism is that during those scenes where it's just dialogue, the characters on the sides should take up a bit less space because they currently take away from viewing the scene.
