Who is the Mysterious Man on Gottlieb's Class of 1812?
In this video, I will be sharing a lesser known fact about the mysterious man pictured on the backglass of Gottlieb's Class of 1812 Pinball machine. It's actually no mystery at all and a quick google search will tell you that Zom B. is actually in reference to a character depicted in the lost american silent-horror film called London After Midnight.
The film itself was destroyed in the 1965 MGM Vault fire and since then is considered to be one of the most sought after lost silent films in history. Some people have tried recreating the silent horror with film stills and scripts but the original has never been found.
The actor who played the beaver hat wearing character was Lon Chaney who was known for playing Universal Monsters in the early 1920s and was known for the way he did his makeup.
There are a lot of lost films that have never been recovered and lost films in general is a fascination for a lot of people in the film industry!
