Cards with effects that grant themselves lingering effects can have those effects negated if they themselves are negated. So for example, you bring out Accesscode Talker with a link 3 monster so it permanently gains 3000 atk, this atk gain lasts basically forever. However if its impermed(Infinite Impermanence), its atk gain will be lost, and it will not come back during the endphase when its effect is no longer being negated. However, if a monster gives a permanent attack boost that affects more cards than just itself, it will not be negated if it's negated. Say for example giga-brilliant(Number 20: Giga-Brilliant) uses its effect to permanently give all monsters you control 300 extra attack, and its the only monster on your side of the field. If its targeted by imperm, it will NOT lose its attack buff at all. So while Accesscode can have its buff removed forever by any negate, giga-brilliant is basically immune to all of that, and only loses its atk buff if it leaves the field or gets flipped face down, despite them both basically having the same kind of effect.
