Why Am I An Atheist?

It was International Atheist Day recently. March 23rd to be more exact. It became something of a trend on Twitter for my fellow atheists to create a kind of Ask Me Anything thread. While I don't normally participate in that kind of thing, this year I thought I would give it a go. There were quite a few interesting questions asked, and one in particular that inspired my desire to do this stream. The questioner asked whether there was a specific event that influenced how I became an atheist.
I did answer the question in the thread itself, but I thought it might be an interesting one to answer the question on a stream. So, in this stream I will discuss the various reasons why I am an atheist, why I choose to identify as an atheist, and that kind of thing! When in discussion on Twitter, or Facebook, or other spaces like that, it's rare that I get the chance to lay them out. Join me if you want to discuss your reasons for being an atheist, or an agnostic, or even a theist. Or even why you think I shouldn't be an atheist, or why you think my reasons for being an atheist are terrible!
