We throw away five million disposable vapes every year in the UK. This amounts to eight vapes being discarded every second.

Councillor Clyde Loakes, chair of the North London Waste Assembly, is urging the government to ban the sale and manufacture of single-use vapes because they are logistically difficult, labour intensive, and expensive to recycle, and it spells disaster for the environment and local councils.
