Why are DVD menus generic nowadays?

27Seriously, if you rent a DVD at some rental place (like Xtravision) I sometimes expect generic menus, and I'm like, why pathetic, boring depressing menus in this time and age. And it's like that on the original DVD aswell (duh). And these are dual layers, you'd kind of expect more
