There are a many ways teams can score a ton of runs. They can hit home runs with people on base. They can keep getting a bunch of hits and eventually get people in. Or you can do it the way we have been and get someone on. Get them over to scoring position. Then get them in for a run. There is no proven way of doing it and winning. Homerun teams stop hitting home runs. Sporatic hits stop coming. People stop getting on base. How long can a team last before hitting that wall?
Our philosphy is to get on base however we can. Whether that be from hits, or walking. We then use our speed to get over into scoring position. Then we have to count on the next guy at bat to get that runner in. In 2015 the Royals did just that. Stealing bases and timely hitting won them a world series. Some people called it small ball, but the Royals called it baseball.
The Kansas City Royals did it in 2015. 2014 we were 90 feet away from a potential championship.
Our team? Mostly farm system players who grew up and played together since the minors. The rebuild took some years, but ended up perfect for a World Series.
Can we do the same thing with the Royals? Wait and see.
HUGE SHOUT OUT TO OPERATION SPORTS AND @RIDINROSTERS for giving us great Minor League Rosters to boost the Franchise type game play.
