NBA 2K26 brought back the Cap Breaker system… but honestly, it feels broken. Instead of rewarding the grind, 2K makes us waste multiple cap breakers just to get 1 point upgrades in stats we don’t even need. Meanwhile, the attributes we actually want are capped or give minimal progress.
In this video, I break down why the Cap Breaker system feels like it’s just a way to drag out gameplay hours without rewarding players fairly. I share my own grind experience, where I had to burn cap breakers on things like post control and free throws I’ll never use, instead of upgrading dunking, ball handling, or speed.
