Honestly this worked way more than it should have. Mostly Andre 3000 and some Outkast mixed with Cymande works. I hope he hears this. I am going to come out and say because the work was pretty much already done and they just combined everything I can't rank things passed a fire but please believe this right here gets up there. That being said Id love to see this with more classic hip hop. This might be the best argument against the new age, how clean does the new age sound mesh with the old, even if it's just one generation behind. If you rock with that blaxploitation era sound, or even the works of Adrian Younge and such you will understand that Cymande were the UK kings of that type funk and honestly were sampled so much that the name is just not out there like that in the minds of most. Andre is a staple in hip hop so this mix and his funk but on funk is perfect. Lowkey downloaded the bandcamp app on my phone and copped this to have this mobile. Im gonna work all summer to get this to every unction possible. In rotation.
