Did you notice this in Hazbin Hotel?

During season 1 when adam fights alastor, alastor says that adam is the first man, but next to die. Adam replies that he has no idea who he is.

This is quite surprising because adam specifically knew who angel dust was, and also knew about vaggie and charlie’s relationship which he calls hot.

So adam has clearly watched or kept up to date on angel dust’s adult content, and also keeps tabs on vaggie and charlie. However him and the other angels angels knew nothing about the Overlords because they don’t care and just view them as any other demon.

Adam and lute also had no idea who killed the first exterminator, despite there being multiple witnesses.

Adam and the rest of the angels did the extermination for hundreds of years and were extremely powerful, to the point where they were overconfident and didn’t bother to do proper research. This ultimately cost adam his life when he was stabbed to death by niffty, and countless angels died during the battle at the hazbin hotel.
