Why Did the Inquisitor's Head DEFLATE In Tales of the Jedi?
1,506With the release of Tales of the Jedi, we finally got to see the events of the Ahsoka novel play out on the screen… Although they weren’t perfectly accurate, but we did get to see a simplified version of Ahsoka’s fight with the Sixth brother… In the fight, Ahsoka takes the upper hand and slices the man’s head off… But why did his head literally defalte after this defeat? Well there are a few huge theories about this, and we’re going to break them down.

The first major theory is that this inquisitor is actually a Skakoan. This would make him one of the very rare Skakoan Jedi before his fall, but it would also mean that he needs a pressure suit to stay alive. We see this with Wat Tambor many times in the Clone Wars and the movies. He also has some pretty similar eyes and facial features to Kul Teska, another Skakoan from the games, and his mask even has some vents on the front. These could be gas filters, allowing him to filter out normal air into the gasses that the Skakoans breathe… Not to mention, most Skakoans have a very distinct voice changer type sound when they speak because of the different gasses that they breathe. This inquisitor sounds exactly like what we’ve heard from Tambor and Kul Teska.
So when a cut was made in his suit and the mask with his head in it fell to the ground, it makes sense that the pressure would equalize out and cause him to deflate…
The other huge theory is that he has something to do with Darth Nihilus, who also wore a bone mask, but i’m personally leaning towards the Skakoan theory becuase it makes a lot of sense with what we’ve seen from them before…
I mean come on, look at this Skakoan head. That’s a head that looks like it could deflate…
